There are a variety of quilting blogs and newsletters out there, which I haven’t linked yet because I haven’t finished figuring out which ones are good and which ones are complete crap. Late last night, Penny Halgren from How-to-Quilt.com sent one containing this tidbit:

“As the Houston Quilt Festival approaches, I am reminded of
the Journal Quilt Project, started in 2002.

“This project challenged quilters to expand their quiltmaking
thinking and talents – and create a small (8-1/2 inch by 11
inch) quilt each month reflecting on their feelings about
their quilting progress.”

Were I to create a “journal quilt” two days in? It might look something like this:
